Position Summary

Duravex is seeking a detail-driven Quality Inspector to support our fabrication, assembly, and systems integration operations. In this role, you’ll perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet specifications, drawings, and quality standards. The right candidate is organized, precise, and confident working on the production floor with a wide range of teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections on fabricated parts, weldments, subassemblies, and finished equipment.
  • Verify conformance to drawings, tolerances, and internal standards using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other tools.
  • Document inspection results clearly and accurately using checklists, inspection reports, and nonconformance records.
  • Communicate findings and support timely resolution of quality issues with fabrication, assembly, and engineering teams.
  • Assist with receiving inspections, material verification, and traceability checks when needed.
  • Support the company’s NCR, rework, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safety-focused inspection area.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection or dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong familiarity with mechanical drawings and tolerancing (GD&T exposure preferred).
  • Proficient in using hand tools and inspection instruments.
  • Comfortable working on the shop floor and inspecting large weldments and assemblies.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or certifications a plus.

  • Sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good communicator—able to work well with welders, machinists, assemblers, and engineers.
  • Self-starter who takes pride in accuracy and accountability.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems is a plus.

Work Schedule

Full-time, day shift (typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday). Overtime may be required based on project needs.
